We're about to find outing up for sale in Antiquorum's June Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean sale is a Heuer Monaco reference 1133b dating to 1969 that was owned by none other than Mr.Sammy Davis Jr.There is even an original photograph of Sammy wearing this watch while in Vietnam entertaining our troops.What is interesting, and important, is that this watch here is an earlier model than McQueen's.In fact, Sammy's watch is considered "transitional" and fits directly between the "Chronomatic" Prototypes (one of which we've mentioned before) and the production model like McQueen wore.Ths particular example was sold in the early 90s at auction and the present lot includes all documentation from the sale, along with the original photograph of Sammy wearing the watch.
